The Entire Process From Start to Finish

This page is designed to help you as a homeowner or business owner understand the process of the project you have chosen to have completed.

The process is similar for both replacement and repair, but the time table will be much quicker in regards to repairs.

1) A  customer will call the number that is displayed in our advertising, which is located throughout our service area. (In the event that an online request is made, the entire process will be the same except we will call you in place of you calling us.)

2) The customer's call will be transferred to one of our two call centers, located in VA and NY.

3) A call center employee will get the customer's information including personal information, job address, and the type of project the customer is interested in having completed.

4) A call center employee will then check the USR online database to determine what local, qualified sales rep is available to be assigned to the customer.

5) Once the results are in (usually within 1 minute), the call center employee will then schedule an appointment and inform the customer as to the name of the sales rep assigned to him/her. The customer will also be given the sale rep's cell phone number in case any scheduling conflicts may arise.

6) The call center employee will enter the new customer into the database section that belongs to the sales rep assigned. The call center employee will add all products the customer is interested in to be sure the sales rep brings the proper literature and samples to the appointment.

7) The day of the appointment, the sales rep will show up at the property on time and completely prepared to perform the requested estimate.

8) The sales rep will spend several minutes meeting with the customer and learning about his/her exact needs.

9) The sales rep will ask the customer for 30-45 minutes while he does his work. First, he will measure and determine the proper sizes for his estimate, and then he will go to his mobile office inside of his truck and enter all measurements into the company's online database.

10) The database will create an estimate for him based on his measurements. He will then print out the estimate and pull out all of the literature and samples that are relevent to that estimate.

11) The sales rep will then go back to the house and present all gathered information to the customer. He will explain the materials and inform the customer about the products they are interested in.

12) After the customer understands what is going to be proposed, the sales rep will show the customer the estimate. He will walk through the estimate line by line to assure the customer understands every aspect of it.

13) The customer will then have two options. He/she can accept the estimate and execute the estimate into a contract, or take everything provided to them and inform the sales rep they would like to take time to make a decision. In the case of the second option, the sales rep would leave and allow the time requested by the customer.

In the event that the contract is executed at the time of the initial estimate:

14) The sales rep would return to his mobile office and update the customer's file in his database to the accepted status.

15) Once he does this, a chain of events begins.

16) First, a work order and a material order will be generated to be reviewed by our production department.

17) A second measurement will be scheduled by one of our installer's foreman where he will come to the customer's property to confirm all measurements before ordering materials. (This usually takes place within 7 days from contract acceptance)

18) Once this has been done, the production "adjusts if needed," and the work and material orders are approved. (This usually takes place within 10 days of contract acceptance.)

19) After the materials have been ordered, and we determine the date of the material delivery, the production schedule is set. We contact the customer to inform them of the estimated start date. (The date may change based on weather conditions.)

20) Materials show up at the customer's house. (This usually takes place within 21 days of the contract acceptance.)

21) Within 1-3 days of the materials arriving at the customer's jobsite, our crews will be sent out to perform the work as detailed in the customer's contract. The sales rep will also show up that day to assure that everything is completed as discussed with the customer.

22) Most projects for residential customers are completed within 1 to 2 days.

23) After the project is completed the sales rep will contact the customer to set up a date and time to inspect the completed project.

24) The sales rep will come to the home and walk the property with the customer to assure that the customer is 100% satisfied.

25) Once the sales rep and the customer both approve the project, the sales rep will provide the customer with a final invoice and pick up the final payment.

26) The customer will pay the final payment to the sales rep before he leaves. (They can then provide the sales rep with a reference if they desire.)

This is the entire process as it happens. Terms and conditions are detailed on the backside of the customer's contract. As detailed above, the entire process from initial call to job completion will take somewhere between 2-4 weeks (unless special-order materials are needed).
